Batman: Arkham Asylum Delayed

Rumors of a delay for Batman: Arkham Asylum, Eidos and Warner Bros Interactive have confirmed that the game has been pushed back. Speculation pegged the new date in the fourth quarter of 2009, and many thought that meant a definite holiday release. Eidos has now said the game will actually release at the "end of summer 2009," which means it has to release by September 21, still (barely) in third quarter.

The press release states that the additional development time is "to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers." In other words, it's probably about bug squashing and polishing up the game for release, not to mention taking advantage of the high anticipation by hitting just before the holiday release window.
Still can't wait for this game to come out...But hey check out the video preview from gamespot.

Rise Orion of Apokolips

Born Warrior and Bred for Battle, Orion is the Fourth World’s fiercest fighter, channeling his rage into a useful force to reckon with. Orion, who first appeared in the New Gods 1st series back in March 1971, Orion whose based in New Genesis, stands 6ft 1inch, possesses enormous strength in comparison with his fellow gods, as well as a fierce warrior’s instinct; rides on his astro-glider which allows him inter-spatial and inter-dimensional travel.

To forestall a caraclysmic battle between New Genesis and Apokolips, the planet’s respective leaders Highfather and Darkseid made a peace treaty known as The Pact, whereby each god gave up his son to be raised by the other. On New Genesis, Orion’s feral nature stood out amongst the peaceful inhabitants, Over time, Orion was given a Mother Box, a sentient computer that calmed his mind and actually smoothed over his coarse features. Soon after, he was befriended by Lightray and the two became inseparable. Orion was dispatched to Earth, where Darkseid had been seeking the secret of the Anti-Life Equation. At one point, Orion and Lightray served with Earth’s protectors, The Justice League of America. Darkseid and his son battled frequently, culminating in Orion apparently killing Darkseid and assuming the rule of Apokolips.

Empowered by the Anti-Life Equation, Orion began mentally enslaving the inhabitants of Apokolips, New Genesis and Earth in the name of peace. Mister Miracle teleported Orion to the Abysmal Plane, home of “the guardian of the cosmic axis” known as Clockwerx. Orion surrendered control of the Anti-Life Equation to the entities, effectively destroying them. Afterward, Orion later discovered that Scott Free was in possession of the Anti-Life Equation.
