Batman & Son

[ DC's awesome new line: Batman & Son]

The new Batman and Son series from DC Direct is the first full series of DCD superheroes I've bought in awhile. And I'm glad I did, since just about every figure in the group is excellent. The Batman is my new favorite, as is the Joker. The Robin and Ninja Manbat are well above the norm, but little Damian is mediocre. Hey, they can't all be perfect.

Kitty & Peter

[Peter & Kitty Pryde]
Written by Kal-El

Well the results are out, The answer to Who is Colossus love interest? Easy rite? Well u got it guys, the answer is Kitty Pryde. When Shadowcat first met the X-Men at 13, she had a crush on Colossus from the start. Peter and Kitty became close, though at the time, both were too shy to fully admit their feelings for each other. However, after surviving a threat by the alien Brood, Kitty and Peter grew closer and started to date. After Piotr's life was in danger, Kitty promised Caliban of the Morlocks her hand in marriage in exchange for aid in saving Peter's life, although later Caliban released her from that vow. Soon after this, even though Kitty had acted out of love to save him, Piotr started to question the time she was spending with Douglas Ramsey. One problem in their relationship was that Kitty was a devout Jew and Colossus was raised as an atheist.

The main reason for Colossus and Kitty breaking up was due to Jim Shooter disapproving of their age differences.Following his return from the dead, Colossus and Kitty resumed a romantic relationship, finally consummating it in Astonishing X-Men #14. Hot!!

Unexplained Rumours have it said that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was recently asked the fans if he should play Captain Marvel or Black Adam in the Peter Segal-directed Shazam! at New Line. Thousands of fans chose Black Adam and The Rock told MTV on Thursday that he would meet with Segal to talk about it.

Johnson stressed that the role wasn't yet a done deal, though he went on to say that the character of Black Adam was being changed to meet his strengths as an actor.
"Thank you for choosing," he proclaimed. "Now the goal is just to make a kickass movie, a kickass character."

The Flash Is Coming

[David Dobkin: taking on the fastest man alive]
Written by GL

Awesome news! Director David Dobkin has signed with Warner Bros. for The Flash.

Dobkin (also known for directing the buddy comedy Wedding Crashers) says this adaptation won't be the character's first appearance in theaters; since The Flash will have a major part in George Miller's upcoming Justice League movie. Dobkin confirmed that his movie will be set in the same universe as Justice League, as a direct spin-off.

He added that The Flash they will use is Wally West.

I can take this news with it's pros and cons.

The Iron Game

[Iron Man: with a heart of gold]
Written by GL

The movie-game for Iron Man is hitting the XBox 360 scene pretty hard: and let me be the first to state (even as someone who's not such a big follower of the console) the game captures look totally awesome. I suggest you have a look. You. Will. Be. Amazed.

The Face Of Young Logan

[Kodi Smit-McPhee: to play a child Logan]
Written by GL

This 11 years old fella is set to play the big bad Wolverine as a child in the upcoming X-Men Origins spin-off. Filming for the movie starts this December, and with the budget as huge as it's rumored to be, we should be expecting quite a show.

11 years old. I don't even have a suit.

Remember Millar For The Sequel?

[Mark Millar: so that's what he looks like]
Written by GL

Just a few days ago, Kal-El mentioned that Mark Millar was serious about writing the story for the Superman Returns sequel. The official news now is that that Warner Bros. has thrown out the idea. Why, I hear you ask?

Here's what Mark Millar had to report (and you'll be surprised to find why he was rejected for this project:

"I had a massive three-picture epic in mind, cribbed from notes I've been putting together for the last five years for a Superman comic-book revamp and the people I spoke to absolutely loved it. Everyone said this was very, very exciting, but...

Well, sadly, I'm a Marvel guy and we were surprised to find out that WB couldn't hire me for a DC property. They were incredibly nice and superbly apologetic about it, but when they discussed the matter seriously DC explained just how associated I am with Marvel Comics at the moment and it's against company policy to hire the competition. It's absolutely nothing personal. I spoke to some friends at DC and they explained this has happened with a couple of big Marvel writers in the last couple of years and I absolutely respect that.

So no Millar-penned Superman movie at this stage, I'm afraid. In the meantime, I'm keeping my 200 pages of notes and sketches on a slow boil, just in case. They're talking to a couple of guys with a better screen-writing track record and, like the rest of you, I'll keep my fingers crossed that this sequel to Bryan's first picture all works out great.

Thanks again for all the support and backing for my involvement in this project. It stunned me that the WB people had seen this and it absolutely factored in how quickly all those doors opened for me."

Interesting development, super-friends.
