Shazam! No More...?

Sad news for Shazam fans out there, Looks like Warner Bros. has decided to shelved this movie project, in my previous post last year, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was supposed to play Captain Marvel's Arch Enemy, Black Adam and was going to be directed by Get Smart film director, Peter Segal and screen writer John August (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). It would seemed that Shazam would have been going towards a more action / comedy storyline. But Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Warner Bros. is interested in John August's comedic direction for the character anymore despite that being the way the character was mostly depicted in comic books over the past 70 years.

So there goes Shazam, back into the books....for now. Will keep an eye out for more updates on this project. So until then...
