Star Light, Star Bright. StarFire I See Tonight
Written By Kal-El
She is known to be very Strong despite her looks, Some say that she could easily out muscle Cyborg and can bench press about 50 Tons. She is Called Starfire.
She was a princess of the, now destroyed, planet Tamaran,
[Kory's evil sister Komand'r]
That revenge came in a plot where Komand'r betrayed her planet with detailed information about Tamaran's defenses to their enemies, the Citadel. They conquered Tamaran with ease, and the surrender conditions included the enslavement of Koriand'r who was never permitted to return, since that would mean the Citadel would devastate the planet for abrogating the treaty.
To Kory's horror, she learned that Komand'r was her master; Koriand'r's older sister made the most of her sibling's bondage with years of horrific servitude and torture. When Koriand'r killed one of her captors, Komand'r decided to execute her as punishment, but the sisters were attacked and captured by the Psions. Psions, a group of sadistic alien scientists, performed a deadly experiment on both sisters to see how much energy their Tamaranean bodies could absorb before exploding from the overload. During the procedure, Komand'r's forces attacked the Psion ship to rescue her. While the Psions were distracted, Kory broke free using her starbolts,a destructive blasts of solar energy.
Against her better judgment, she decided to free Komand'r, who was still absorbing energy. However, far from grateful, Komand'r struck her sister down with the same, but more intense, power, and had her restrained for later execution.
Kory had managed her escaped by seducing one of the guards and stole a spacecraft to flee to the nearest planet, Earth, where she met the Robin a.k.a. Dick Grayson and the Teen Titans.
[Cat got your tongue Robin?]
Starfire is Omni-lingual. She can learn any and all languages as long as she can touch someone physically. When she first arrived to Earth she learned English by kissing Robin, an encounter that gave fruit to their romance. She then joined them in forming the Teen Titans. She became a charter member of this team and remained a member for years; during this time she was frequently romantically involved with Robin. A romance which would eventually help him grow as a person and help him with carve out his own identity away from his mentor. She took the name Starfire and fought alongside the Titans on many missions as well as serving as a mentor to newer members.Koriand'r displays the traits of Tamaran's joy-seeking culture, coupled with a no-nonsense warrior attitude. For a time, Koriand'r had a career as a fashion model.
[Now we know why Robin, I mean Nightwing can't get enough of her]
Starfire is attractive even by superhero standards, which along with her no-nonsense attitude and Tamaranean's joy-seeking culture has led her into a number of romances. She has been married twice, both times to Tamaranean men: once to the prince Karras to seal a peace treaty, and once to General Phy'zzon out of duty. Both men died in battle. She nearly married Dick Grayson, to much anti-alien sentiment, at the time. Their wedding was interrupted by Raven, who had gone evil at the time. Raven murdered the priest before he could finish the ceremony. Their already unstable relationship, both Kory and Dick decided it best that their relationship come to a close. Although it is apparent that they still hold a torch for each other whenever they see one another.
One of her abilities are able to generate energy blasts and release them out of her hands. These "Star Bolts" are very powerful and can break through a wall of concrete. She gained these abilities during the experiments she was forced to endure by the Psions. They knew that the Tamaraneans could absorb energy and wished for a way to make it so that they released it, and that was when she gained the powers of the star bolts. Starfire has the ability to fly but only when she is thinking of a happy thought. Without a happy thought, Starfire is bound to Earth's gravity just as much as any normal human. She leaves a red contrail after her during flight which makes it seem like her hair is longer than it actually is. Starfire can also store energy and then use it at a later date in a devastating attack, as witnessed in the Outsiders. Her stored energy combined, she created a maelstrom of energy which resembled those of a stars and unleashed a devastating attacked which caused several full-blast explosions.
[Women of DC Feature StarFire Statue Bust]
After the destruction of Tamaran, along with her parents and many of her people, by the Sun-Eater; Starfire realized that Earth was her true home. She decided to live on Themyscira with the Amazons.

Superman Man of Steel Confirmed!!
Singer knows that there was some negative reaction to the fact that the first film focused more on story at the expense of action and is looking to redress that next time.
“The first one was a romantic film and a nostalgic film,” he says. “I’ll be the first person to own up to that without making any apologies for it. I knew it was going to be that from the outset. And now that the characters are established, there’s really an opportunity to up the threat levels...Clearly there’ll be a body count [laughs]. From frame one, it will be unrelenting terror! All those teenage girls who found the movie and mooned over James Marsden or Brandon? Well, I’m going to wake them up!” He may be joking about the unrelenting terror.
We have to say, we actually enjoyed a huge amount about Superman Returns. Brandon Routh made a terrific Superman and Clark Kent and Singer clearly cared about the characters. It was light on action, so it would be great to see a sequel in which we get to actually experience what Supes can really do.
Please Bryan, Bring Superman Back....Again..and Again..
Thor Movie Update
Written by Kal-El
Judging by his win at the Sony Ericsson Empire Awards, Stardust director Matthew Vaughn is pretty adept at the whole fantasy thing, so why the hell isn’t he hard at work at his long-mooted adaptation of Marvel’s none-more-Norse superhero, Thor? The answer, it seems, lays in the laps of the comic book gods.
“We’re in a holding pattern at the moment,” he said. “It’s up to Marvel, they have to decide if they want to make the movie and then we take it from there.”
“Holding pattern” may well be a cleverly masked way of describing “development hell” but Vaughn, it seems, still has big ideas for Odin’s hammer-wielding son.
“Well, the main role is going to be played by someone totally unknown,” he said. “It can’t be a star, it’s got to be someone totally unknown.”Thor the comic book is well known for his overly lyrical dialogue and slightly ridiculous garb, which works well on the page but how will it translate to the big screen?
“I think you have to respect that it is comic book and silly to be frank, so you have to combine that with a modern style and hopefully come up with something fresh. I think we can come up with something special.”
