To my surprise this movie is getting a sequel, but this time previous director Mark Steven Johnson will not be directing it. News also confirmed that Eva Mendes will not be returning as Roxanne Simpson in the sequel. Movie Producer Mike De Luca is interested in having David Goyer (Batman Begins Writer) directing the sequel but it all comes down to his very busy schedule (Flash Forward). Movie news confirmed that the sequel will be like "pushing the reset button" on the Ghost Rider Franchise.
Also on that note, since the huge success of Avatar, Ghost Rider 2 might., repeat might be done in 3D. They also stated that Ghost Rider 2 : Spirit of Vengeance could easily be shoot this year.
