Rest In Peace Joe Simon
Legendary Golden Age comic creator Joe Simon passed away yesterday, Tuesday, December 14. Simon was the creator of Captain America and a myriad of other heroes and rogues in the Marvel Universe and beyond, including the 1940s version of Sandman. He was also the first editor of Timely Comics, the company that would eventually turn into Marvel.
The news was broken by his son through Facebook. Simon was an active presence in the comics field throughout his entire life and made regular appearances at conventions even into his late 90s. He will be missed, although we continue to enjoy the fruits of his legacy to this day.

Justice League : Doom
Awesome, just when we thought DC Direct animation to Blu-ray and DVD ended with Batman Year One, we found out that DC is releasing another Justice League animation, Justice League : Doom.
Justice League: Doom finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member. The story is highly based on the “JLA: Tower of Babel” which was inspired by Mark Waid’s awesome storyline.
The Supercool reunion of actors who provided the voices of the Justice League for the cartoon of the same name and its follow-up, Justice League Unlimited, includes Kevin "The Man" Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman, Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville, Breaking In) as Flash, Susan Eisenberg (Superman/Batman: Apocalypse) as Wonder Woman and Carl Lumbly (Alias) as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter. Bumper Robinson (A Different World, Transformers: Animated) joins the cast as Cyborg.
The Justice League faces two sets of villainous teams in the film – The Royal Flush Gang and a sextet of notable evildoers. The latter group includes three voice acting alumni of the Justice League animated series: Phil Morris (Smallville, Seinfeld) as Vandal Savage, Olivia d’Abo (The Wonder Years) as Star Sapphire, and Alexis Denisof (Angel) as Mirror Master. Also opposing our heroes are Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911) as Bane, Paul Blackthorne (The Dresden Files) as Metallo, and Claudia Black (Farscape, Stargate SG-1) as Cheetah.

And it begins.....................again
Well looky what we have here...Clues to be decipher?! Oh Mr Nolan, you are such a tease.
[Mock up CIA Documents for fans to dechipher]
Chris Nolan is at it again, releasing some sneaking viral media for fans to start promoting his last Batman Movie (So Sad to hear) The Dark Knight Rises. First what it appears to be is a Central Intelligence Bulletin for a Dr. Leonid Pavel, who ran a Russian Nuclear facility. Good? Evil? Two-faced? That's just part of this crazy madness!
Then, there is this heavily-censored transcript about obtaining security for the good (evil?) Doc to travel stateside.
This is AWESOME!! But the question remains........WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN???
Go Boy Wonder Go!!

Superman - Christopher Reeve Hot Toys Unboxed
Finally it arrives after a long gruesome 6 months of anticipation, but the wait is finally over. As promised, we will be showcasing a tribute to the real man of steal, the man who made us fan boys ogle about a man flying trying to save a reporter falling down from a 100 floor building. The terrible injury and subsequent death of Christopher Reeve was a tragic end to the life of an actor loved by many fans around the world. While he starred in almost 50 movies and television shows, he'll always be best remembered as Superman.
When i first went to pick this package out, i was so amazed by the size of the box and the design was just simply amazing! Here's a little bit of pictures taken when i first "unboxed" it today.
The cool box which will look fantastic when displaying the figure, keep in mind, its a pretty big box!
A Few writings on the back, you might wanna read everything first, with the price this figure cost, the last thing i wanna do is miss out on an instruction.
Credits to the Hot Toys crew involved in designing this iconic figure.
3 Sets of Hands and The Fortress of Solitude Diorama Stand.
2 Types of stands, Diorama and also a normal stand.
Diorama set up, If you want to make it glow, might wanna invest in some small white colour LED to light up the ambience.
Just look at the detail, i felt a little bit weird because he looks so real. All the pieces are extremely well tailored with great fitting to the figure. The Scale of the suit is perfect, even the emblem on both the chest and cape is cool!
Boots are very accurate that it actually looks leathery cool for when he flies super fast. The boots are especially nice, made from a soft leather-like material. They give just enough for the ankles to move, yet remain stiff enough to look great in any pose.
For Articulation sake - The figure joints are tight, but no trouble posing him the way I wanted. But if you read the instruction properly, you might wanna watch out when moving the head to avoid any damage to the rubbery skin. Very delecate - Wash your hands boys!
Let's talk a bit about the awesome thin wire inside the cape, designed to allow you to give some poses to the fabric. It's not strong enough to hold the cape out straight from his back (too bad) but it is stiff enough to add some realistic curls and contours. So its still workable for a great picture pose!
Finally i end this unbox review with my rating for this figure, out of ten - i would give this a score of 9 out or 10. Only because of the price for this figure, overall detail and articulation is perfect. But BND$290 is just way too much for this non Deluxe (DX) Hot Toys Figure and lack of accessories. I Guess it was just about the Tribute, with all the complaints i've said, once i held this figure in my hands, it was totally worth it.
Stay cool true believers!
