Superman - Christopher Reeve Hot Toys Unboxed

Finally it arrives after a long gruesome 6 months of anticipation, but the wait is finally over. As promised, we will be showcasing a tribute to the real man of steal, the man who made us fan boys ogle about a man flying trying to save a reporter falling down from a 100 floor building. The terrible injury and subsequent death of Christopher Reeve was a tragic end to the life of an actor loved by many fans around the world. While he starred in almost 50 movies and television shows, he'll always be best remembered as Superman.

When i first went to pick this package out, i was so amazed by the size of the box and the design was just simply amazing! Here's a little bit of pictures taken when i first "unboxed" it today.

The cool box which will look fantastic when displaying the figure, keep in mind, its a pretty big box!

A Few writings on the back, you might wanna read everything first, with the price this figure cost, the last thing i wanna do is miss out on an instruction.

Credits to the Hot Toys crew involved in designing this iconic figure.

3 Sets of Hands and The Fortress of Solitude Diorama Stand.

2 Types of stands, Diorama and also a normal stand.

Diorama set up, If you want to make it glow, might wanna invest in some small white colour LED to light up the ambience.

Just look at the detail, i felt a little bit weird because he looks so real. All the pieces are extremely well tailored with great fitting to the figure. The Scale of the suit is perfect, even the emblem on both the chest and cape is cool!

Boots are very accurate that it actually looks leathery cool for when he flies super fast. The boots are especially nice, made from a soft leather-like material. They give just enough for the ankles to move, yet remain stiff enough to look great in any pose.

For Articulation sake - The figure joints are tight, but no trouble posing him the way I wanted. But if you read the instruction properly, you might wanna watch out when moving the head to avoid any damage to the rubbery skin. Very delecate - Wash your hands boys!

Let's talk a bit about the awesome thin wire inside the cape, designed to allow you to give some poses to the fabric. It's not strong enough to hold the cape out straight from his back (too bad) but it is stiff enough to add some realistic curls and contours. So its still workable for a great picture pose!

Finally i end this unbox review with my rating for this figure, out of ten - i would give this a score of 9 out or 10. Only because of the price for this figure, overall detail and articulation is perfect. But BND$290 is just way too much for this non Deluxe (DX) Hot Toys Figure and lack of accessories. I Guess it was just about the Tribute, with all the complaints i've said, once i held this figure in my hands, it was totally worth it.

Stay cool true believers!
