Who is Dr.Pamela Isley?
The experiments also allowed her to produce mind-control pheromones that drove men wild at her touch. They also made her barren, and she has treated her plants as children, mothering them, ever since.
Woodrue fled the authorities, leaving Pamela in the hospital for six months. Enraged at the betrayal, Pamela suffered violent mood swings. After her boyfriend got into a car accident after mysteriously suffering from a massive fungal overgrowth, Isley dropped out of school and left Seattle, eventually setting roots down in Gotham City.
Me no human...Me Bizarro
Brought into being by an ingenious duplicator ray built by Lex Luthor, a multi-millionaire and Superman's Arch Nemesis, Bizarro is only lifeless matter in human form. A thing composed of unliving matter. It is rather "Bizarro".
His flesh is white, the color of chalk, and his face appears faceted, as though it had been chiseled out of rock. His black hair is matted and unkempt. He is well-meaning but witless, super-powerful but pathetic. His speech is illiterate and ungrammatical. Because Bizarro's mind is an imperfect imitation of Superman's read up on the comic act "The Battle with Bizarro!", however, he is capable of flights of occasional super-genius. Because he possesses dim duplicate memories of all that Superman knows, he is well aware that Clark Kent is secretly Superman. But unlike Superman, Bizarro is immune to Green Kryptonite, but like all Bizarro creatures, he is vulnerable to Blue Kryptonite.
Lex Luthor hoped to use the duplicate to attack Superman. However, this Bizarro did not cooperate and instead tried to emulate Superman. Unfortunately, his attempts to match the original's heroics were clumsy and destructive, and he kidnapped Lois. Superman resolved this situation by creating a Bizarro Lois for Bizarro.
Feeling rejected by the people of Earth, he moved to the world of Htrae, which had ancient advanced technology which was used to populate the planet with other Bizarros created in the same manner. Almost everyone on Htrae looked like an ugly Superman (and possessed super powers). When Superman visited he was arrested for being normal, but he plea bargained a proposal to change the shape of the world into a cube for his release.
Together with Bizarro-Lois, Bizarro rules the far-distant planet Htrae, a wacky, cockeyed world where all the men are imperfect imitations of Superman and all the women are distorted doubles of Lois Lane. It is to distinguish himself from all these other male Bizarros that the original Bizarro has taken to wearing a large medallion around his neck plainly identifying himself as "Bizarro No. 1"
"Me not human... me not creature, Me not even animal!" Quoted by Bizarro.

Enter the Phantom Zone
It is known in this world that criminals go to jail when a crime was committed. It is written somewhere in the DC world comics that when a Kryptonian criminal, when trialed and found guilty, they will be exiled in a “twilight zone” famously known as the name as “The Phantom Zone”.
You mostly hear the name “Phantom Zone” in any popular Movie series of Superman and Supergirl, as they used the zone where they exiled the likes of Zod, Non and Ursa in the movies. In the movie Supergirl, she was also trap in the phantom zone; this was created earlier in the 70’s and 80’s.
On a famous installment TV Series of Smallville, Clark Kent or by his Kryptonian name Kal-El , was also sent off to the Phantom by Zod. But Clark was found by another Kryptonian, Raya. Superman is the only person who is able to release himself from the phantom zone, Due to the Key that was given to him by Raya, The key which his own father made to protect them, and only the son of Jor-El could open the gate dimension.
The Phantom Zone was earlier discovered by Jor-El, a place for which on planet Krypton uses to imprison criminals. So far, they have survived the massive destruction of Krypton thru the phantom zone, for which Jor-El did told the planet’s committee, in order to survived the destruction is only by moving everyone to the phantom. But majority said “No” to Jor-El, for which he only managed to send off his only child to earth just in time before the end.
Here are some names of Kryptonian that was sentence to the Phantom Zone.
Kru-El – A Weapon Designer, cousin of Jor-El.
Ursa – A Martial Arts expert and hater of all Male.
Professor Va Kox – a geneticist who created monsters.
Nadira and Az-Rel – Petty criminals from Krypton Isle of Bokos.
Jax-Ur – A rocket & missile engineer who accidentally destroyed Krypton’s two moons.
Quex-Ui – Sentenced for killing a herd of the sacred Rondors. But later on proved innocent by Superman.Doctor Xadu – A physician who killed dozen of patients while performing cryogenics experiments on them.
Jer-Em – Caused the destruction of Argo City (Supergirl’s birth place)
Nam-Ek – Killed the Rondor herd and used their horns to become immortal.

Which side are you?
Supergirl Returns ?
While Marvel characters make it to theaters on a regular basis, most of the DC Comics superheroes haven't quite been faster than a speeding bullet to film production -- aside from Bats and Supes, most of them have been fitted for new tights only to wind up in the Phantom Zone.
Of course, Helfer is around 33 years old, so I'm not sure she qualifies for SUPERGIRL, but it does sound like the character herself is once again on the 'To Do' list at WB -- that is, unless our source is somehow confusing it with WONDER WOMAN, rendering this entire rumor moot. It is probable that this theoretical new version would completely ignore the previous 1984 movie featuring Helen Slater, and also not be related to the current film manifestation of SUPERMAN.
Rumour has also been spreading that another two "possibility" ladies of getting the cast of Supergirl, namely Mischa Barton and also Melissa George.

Wonder Woman Movie Update
Last July at Comic-Con in San Diego, Superhero Hype! had a chance to talk to producer Joel Silver about why he wanted to make a movie starring DC Comics' Wonder Woman for Warner Bros. At the time, Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame had been working on a script and it was full speed ahead. Those plans hit a bit of a speed bump earlier this year, when it was announced that Silver and Warner Bros. had bought another script and that Whedon wouldn't be making the movie.
At the Los Angeles junket for Silver's latest Dark Castle horror flick The Reaping with Hillary Swank, Superhero Hype! had a chance to ask the producer about progress on the long-anticipated movie.
"It took me eleven years to put 'Speed Racer' together. For ' Wonder Woman, it was seven years. Ten years to do 'V [for Vendetta']," he told us when asked. "These things don't happen quickly. I want to make the right movie on 'Wonder Woman,' I think if we do it right, we can. We just couldn't get there."
But what about that script they recently bought, which wound up sending Whedon packing? "That was a script that came about," he said. "It had some good ideas in it but I didn't want it floating around, so we took it off the market. It was a period movie and I really don't want to do that."
Hopefully there'll be word of a new director or casting so that Silver and Warner Bros. can get a Wonder Woman movie happening before the recently-rumored Justice League movie beats it to the punch.

In Darkness, A Light can be seen
Tyrone and Tandy only found out about their true powers later on after an experimental drug was given to them against their own will by the agents of Silvermane. The truth reveals, Tyrone and Tandy are both Mutants, Now Cloak with his special gained ability to access the "Darkforce Dimension" through his extra dimensional clock, will give out fear and often stir the victim as crazy as catatonically insane. Where as Tandy now becomes Dagger with a symbol on her right eye, gained to ability to generate a powerful light that light sometimes can be offensive as "Light daggers" that could stun and cause burns, sometimes even heart attack.
Cloak and Dagger now tend to live in Churches, They both face trouble cause mostly by the likes of the super villain known also as Dr.Doom and Dr.Jip. Cloak and Dagger often run away many time, whether it's distance or even dimensions. Dagger is the only person that could use her light powers in Tyrone's darkness cloak. Cloak and Dagger have become romantically involved, though their relationship has ups and downs, you could say they’ve stuck through thick and thin together.
In a story from Maximum Carnage series, Dagger was incorrectly believed to have been Murdered, and Cloak’s insanity drove him to find her killers in this story, This short lived characters from Marvel in the end have joined up with several teams like Spiderman, Daredevil, Moon knight, The Black Widow, The Power Pack, The Avengers, S.H.E.I.L.D. and now defunctional "Marvel Knights".
Cloak and Dagger's life story is all about stopping Drug dealers, Terrorist and saving the world from villains taking over.
I guess everyone deserved each other even in its darkest hour...like Cloak and Dagger.

Changing Scales
The thing I like the most about the supervillains of the Batman series is how dark and colorful they are. I like the way they always seem to use the emotion of fear as a weapon, exactly the way the Batman himself does. Examples range from the un-dying Joker, to the delightfully mad Scarecrow, to the subject of this blog entry: Killer Croc.
Killer Croc is a relatively young character, named Waylon Jones and was first penned in 1983. What many non-serious Batman-watchers may not know is that Waylon Jones is one of a very few black supervillains out there in the comic world. Aside from that, there is alot of mixed-up data concerning the origins of this very vicious character.
One version of origin claims that Waylon Jones was born with a medical condition that caused him to grow more and more reptilian-like - from tougher skin to an actual tail. Although he may have once been human, his disease, over the long term, caused Waylon Jones to lose much of his human appearance.
An alternate version of this origins-claim is that Waylon Jones is not afflicted with a disease but an inherited gene-trait from an age-old species of the human race.
In DC's The Batman & Robin Adventures, it is revealed that Killer Croc's mother had died at childbirth, which left him to be brought up by an abusive aunt
In Batman: The Animated Series, Killer Croc's origins are revealed to have been as a pro-wrestler who got bored with the legal life and turn to crime for excitement.
In The Batman animated television series, his origins take an even newer and more out-there twist. Killer Croc, in his appearance, hinted to having been a military genetic experiment gone wrong. This, of course, diverts totally away from his comic book origins. In this series, Killer Croc also possesses a Cajun accent and had two pet crocodiles that understood his every order.
As all-over-the-place as his origins are, even more twisted are the representations of Killer Croc's intelligence and appearance throughout his fictional life.
In the comics, Killer Croc's level of intelligence has shifted between the fairly smart and cunning to the totally berserk. In the Hush comic storyline, he was infected with a virus that sped up his mutation, turning him more and more monstrous and less intelligent alot quicker. And, as far as it goes, this condition was never cured. Although Waylon Jones is said to have been a high school dropout, he is more than capable of handling simple criminal-planning. But, more often than not, he is hired as muscle by other supervillains.
In Batman: The Animated Series, as crazed as he appears, Killer Croc was discovered to have been completely sane. It was in this television series that he was refused from being admitted to Arkham Asylum and was, instead, placed in Blackgate Penitentiary.
The best way to picture it would be to envision a person with all the mental capacities of a human, but the primal intelligence of a crocodile; meaning the speed and reflexes, the senses and swimming ability.
The best representation of Killer Croc, and the one I remember the best, had been in Batman: The Animated Series. He was shown as a being fairly human in appearance, except for the fact that his skin was painted a leathery gray. In one episode of The New Batman Adventures, Killer Croc was, once again, revamped and portrayed with green skin. Yet another version appeared in the Batman television series, in which he was portrayed more reptilian and, this time, with a tail.
See, it's complicated. And these mix-ups are all reflected in the toylines that are produced by Mattel and Kenner, and even Lego. No one knows how to make him look.
Killer Croc, however, is tough. His skin has hardened to the point that it is almost invulnerable to sharp cuts and low-grade projectile weapons. He is not only fast and able to swim, he is also strong enough to tear bank vault doors off their hinges. From time to time, his character has been shown to have regenerative capabilities; being able to repair his own broken bones and so on.
It has been shown that he can street-fight and wrestle, but he's not as competant at it as the Batman himself.
As far as the fans and comic writers know, Killer Croc's storyline hasn't ended yet. At one point in the Batman issues, Killer Croc escaped from Arkham Asylum to the swamps of Louisiana, at the calling of the Swamp Thing. It was a place where Killer Croc could finally give in to his total animalistic form and be free from human persecution.
It's a little bit of a shame that Killer Croc was never a solid character with a true origin and form. I, personally, don't know that many characters that have been treated with such uncertainty as this one has. And, if you ask me, it makes it all the more harder to appreciate such glamorous comic characters when all those editors, writers and painters want to do is keep changing scales.
Back to School
Written by GL
Funnily enough, and if you didn't already know it, superheroes and supervillains had to start somewhere. They are, afterall, fictional representations of normal civilians. They sleep, eat, fall in love, and die just like any one of us. Of course, their lives cross from time to time, and they meet up with each other under weird circumstances. And, they also go to school. It's true in most of the comic franchises, just like it's true in the Marvel Comics Universe - superheroes and supervillains needed an education.
Empire State University is completely fictional, so don't try to apply there. It exists somewhere in New York City and boasts a very colorful alumni list.
Let's start at Spiderman. In the Spiderman: The New Animated Series, which seems to follow along the lines of the movies themselves, Peter Parker, when he's not being your friendly neighbourhood web-slinger, spends his days researching Physics at Empire State University. However, in the movies, this university reference isn't used.
Not only did Peter Parker attend Empire State University, a whole bunch of other characters did too. Harry Osborn (the original Green Goblin), Gwen Stacy (Parker's first love, before Mary Jane, and was murdered by Green Goblin), Debra Whitman (Spiderman's love interest from the 70's version), Marcy Kane (yet another love interest of Spidey's, who turned out to be an alien), and the ever-lasting Mary-Jane Watson, were also students there.
Of the past teachers list, you've got; Dr. Miles Warren (also known as The Jackal, who fused his own DNA with an actual jackal's, and was solely responsible for starting the Clone Wars saga after purposefully cloning Spiderman and Mary-Jane) and Dr. Curt Connors (also known as the infamous Lizard). Both professors had been in the Faculty of Biochemistry.
Let's move on to the Fantastic Four. Reed Richards (also known as Mr. Fantastic) and Ben Grimm (also known as the Thing) started as roomies at Empire State University. Their friendship had gotten off on a rocky start when they were forced to complain against a certain Latverian international exchange student who had let an experiment go too far. That international exchange student was our very own Victor Von Doom. Johnny Storm (also known as the Human Torch) is also on the alumni list, but had been expelled from and sued by Empire State University when he had accidentely burnt down part of a campus building whilst fighting off villains.
Alot of you would be interested, and a little excited, to know that Emma Frost (the sexy, blonde telepath of X-Men's fame) also attended Empire State University before she had joined the Hellfire Club. Along side her had been another X-Man known as Chamber. Chamber had been solely responsible for starting Empire State University's student-to-mutant exchange program with the Xavier Institute.
The list doesn't stop there - there had been a whole bunch of others; ranging from real side-line characters to outstanding main ones:
Prof. Buck Mitty
(also known as Humbug)
Evan Swann
(who had played host to the detached superhero known as Captain Universe)
Edward Lansky
(also known as the supervillain, Lightmaster)
Axel Asher
(also known as the independant hero, Access)
Vance Astrovik
(also known as Justice of The Avengers, and formerly known as Marvel Boy)
Hector Ayala
(also known as the first incarnation of the independant hero, White Tiger)
Brian Braddock
(also known as Captain Britain)
Johnny Gallo
(also known as the independant hero, Ricochet)
Ritchie Gilmore
(also known as Prodigy)
Melissa Gold
(also known as Songbird)
Felicia Hardy
(also known as the tragic Blackcat)
Eddie McDonough
(also known as the independant hero, Hornet)
Steve Rogers
(also known as the Super-Soldier, Captain America)
Richard Rider
(also known as the superhero, Nova)
Greg Salinger
(also known as the 70's western themed hero, Foolkiller)
Cassie St. Commons
(also known as the villain-turned-hero, Dusk)
Phil Ulrich
(also known as the fourth incarnation of Green Goblin)
and, Namorita
So, you see, it's always better to hit the books than to simply be running around town saving lives because, with an education, you'll be able to fight smart, I always say. Everyone needs an education, even the villains within us. And who knows, you just might get to sat next to Emma Frost.

Wolverine’s Revenge
Tyler Mane, who says his Sabertooth character from the first X-Men movie might be a villain in the Wolverine spinoff:According to massive actor/wrestler Tyler Mane, discussions are under way to have his evil mutant from the original "X-Men" movie return for the highly anticipated Wolverine spinoff flick.
"We will see," an optimistic Mane revealed recently. "There is talk of a Wolverine-Sabretooth [plot], and we will see what happens with that." Mane might have some competition from Vinnie Jones, however, who has insisted in the past that his Juggernaut will be the target of those famed adamantium claws. Nevertheless, Mane's comments would seem to support fans who believe the prequel will have Logan seeking revenge against Victor Creed — who eventually became Sabretooth in the "X-Men" comic book series. "We will see," Mane said cryptically. "You never know."

Marvel Theme Park Coming to Dubai
United Arab Emirate-based Al Ahli Group and Marvel Entertainment, Inc. announced today a partnership that will bring Marvel's full library of Super Heroes -- including Spider-Man, Iron Man, The X-Men, Incredible Hulk, The Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer -- to Dubai for a major new theme park destination being developed by AAG. The development is in line with the vision set by HH Shk. Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, through his innovative entertainment and hospitality driven expansion projects for Dubai and the UAE.
AAG has been in discussions for more than two years with the owners of the world's top intellectual properties in the entertainment arena and is extremely proud of its new long-term partnership with the world renowned Marvel brand. The Project will open in 2011 with a direct investment of over $1 billion USD. The creative team, which consists of some of the most spectacular creative minds from around the globe, will be based in Hollywood, Orlando and Dubai throughout the four year development process. New technology and unparalleled visitor experiences will be the hallmark of the theme park, creating a new standard for theme parks around the world.
David Maisel, Chairman of Marvel Studios and a member of the Office of the Chief Executive, Marvel Entertainment, said, "We are launching a long term relationship with the Al Ahli Group to bring the Marvel Universe to Dubai with this exciting new theme park development. Al Ahli Group has both an impressive team of theme park, entertainment and hospitality executives and the financial strength to leverage that expertise into a world-class destination resort experience unparalleled in the region. We are very pleased to be a part of this exciting initiative and look forward to a successful partnership with Mohamed Khammas and the Al Ahli Group."
Mohamed Khammas, CEO of Al Ahli Group commented "Al Ali Group's partnership with Marvel Entertainment serves a long pursued quest of creating the ultimate entertainment destination for families and children of the region and the world, a destination where they can live their childhood fantasies and create new memories for the entire family to cherish and remember. Family destinations have not evolved in Pan Arabia and thus it's time that we cater to that demand and make the investment required for global tourism."
Marvel is a brand that is recognized globally via its ever expanding list of 'Super Hero' characters. Now, it won't be much longer until the children in Pan Arabia and the world can experience new and exciting rides with Marvel's Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four and many other Super Heroes right here in the UAE.
"This partnership is a result of the appreciation and loyalty that Marvel has internationally, and was realized through the dedication and management of the Marvel team led by my friend David Maisel. Without his personal efforts and dedication, it would have been a long time before the world would be able to experience the Marvel Super Heroes in what we aim to be the best entertainment destination in the world. In 2011, Spider-Man and the rest of the Marvel Super Heroes will set their first steps in Dubai."
Superman Sequel to start in March 2008
"Angeloz asks if I'm coming back to work on the sequel. The answer is...I'm ALREADY working on the sequel. Bryan, Brandon and the whole merry bunch will be coming back...and filming will probably begin March, 2008, as was always planned from the beginning. The WWII film Bryan plans to shoot over the summer will have NO EFFECT whatsoever on the Superman sequel schedule."

Look into the Sky
“You wrote that the world doesn’t need a Saviour, but every day I hear they cry for one” said Superman to Lois in Superman Returns, so now you’d have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be Superman in Superman Returns The Video Game.
Many years have I waited for this game to come out, even trailers of the game came out immediately after the movie was released last summer. Even then, they’ve changed and delayed the release date. Moving it only later in October of last year. Despite how frustrating it was for a Superman fan. Even when website companies have already rated it a Low or Fair ratings even before the game had come out.
For me…It was worth it...I knew from the moment I saw the trailers….it’s going to be an amazing game...I Spoke to GL about the game; well he thought that I told him exactly how the trailer goes…
“It started with, tun-tun-tun tun tunnnn – Tunn Tunn Tunnn (Superman Theme Song)
Then...a Giant Metallo smashing his way into the Center of Metropolis, Alien robots crushing cars and buildings….then..
(Music theme picks up) Superman flying really fast into the city, once approaching Metallo, Metallo raises his right arm, only to shoot a massive rocket targeted to a skyscraper. “BOOM!!” the missile rocket was launch, Superman quickly flew off to save the people in that building, with Speed so fast he was able to catch up with the missile, heading his way to the front nose of the missile, pushing it slowly upwards, redirecting it to the sky…
Boom!! It exploded with Superman…Burning his body unconsciously, Superman falling down, slowly woken up only to finish what is left...Metallo...
Shooting red heat vision, Superman broke off two pillars that was holding a Helipad, Carrying it with Ease, he used it as a shield to block off Metallo’s Kyrptonite Green Rays, then Superman threw the giant helipad at Metallo like it was only a Frisbee. Metallo blocked it by smashing through the Helipad, But only to find out that Superman zoomed off into smashing right into Metallo’s stomach where he controls the giant, Superman carried Metallo off to the air as he once again have save Metropolis from Danger.
In this game, you will able to experience the ability to fly, Zooming across metropolis (81 acres) of it. Use your heat vision to blow up robots, Freeze the meteors from falling into the city, Blow out fires from burning building, and use super strength to match with strong villains.
EA Games once again manages to use Superman powers as a gimmick. Like previously Batman Begins, they were using Fear as their gimmick, this time, Superman has no health meter, but instead Metropolis has one, so if the gamer is busy flying high experiencing sonic booms (4 times the speed) when you stop to look at the gorgeous city, you’ll be able to hear things from above.
Then as usual, you’re a Superhero…Do your thing!
Personally I gave this game 7 out of 10, due to the lacking of storyline, and repetitive actions that you do, and if you keep on doing it, you’ll tend to get bored easily...but what the hey...i'm not complaining Well maybe for the ordinary gamers….me, I don’t know why I’m still playing it…

Fastest Man Alive
Inspired me after looking at too many action figures of the Flash, and wanting his action figure even more now..but anyways, out of boredom last night i decided to channel my creativity to illustrating the fastest man ,on how he would travel... and having that , capturing him during motion, even a blur....
No Mercy
This is where we FIGHT! This is where THEY die!...Three – Hundred Spartans stood before an army of Xerxes, held them at bay, wore them down and put up an historic fight. This movie like many others before it has made it into the ‘games arena’ BUT will it be as impressive as the movie itself?
Let me start by saying, for those who don’t know, the movie ‘300’ originated from one of Frank Miller’s comic whose creations include the likes of Batman, Daredevil, Elektra, even Sin City. Directed by Zack Snyder (who also directed ‘Dawn of the Dead’), ‘300’ grossed more than $70M in its opening weekend and is exclusively produced for the PlayStation Portable (PSP). It‘s developed by Collision Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, distributed by Eidos Interactive.
Being an XBOX fan, I was disappointed that this title is ‘solely’ for PSP only, imagine how awesome it would or could be graphically if it was to be based on other consoles XBOX360 or PS3!!! I’m sure it would be amazing…anyways Warner Bros. interactive are not new to the gaming industry, they also have done a few titles in the past leading to ’300: March To Glory’ just to name a few, Friends: The One With All The Trivia, Happy Feet, Justice League Heroes, Looney Toons, Enter The Matrix, and Batman.
Players take on the role of King Leonidas himself, where, like the movie, you’ll lead his strong 300 Spartans against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Now, in theory, the game should be just as impressive as it has been for the ‘big screen’, right? Here’s the thing…knowing that it will only come out on PSP players might not fully appreciate the reminder of how far short of its source material “300: March To Glory” falls. Looking at the screen shots, more work could have been done to make use fully of the PSP hardware but sadly I wouldn’t really be too keen on purchasing this straight away but then that’s just me…

The Uru Hammer
The "Uru" is a substance used to create Thor's hammer, and could also conduct lighting.
Iron-Man's suit could also project Uru Beams. Mjolnir is now the current name of Thor's Magical Hammer. On the Hammer written:
" Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor"
A New Apokolips
Darkseid, also known to the fans as one of Superman's strongest enemies. Ruler of the planet Apokolips, assassinated his own mother before declaring himself the new ruler of the planet. He has an obsession with an Anti Life Equation to rule the whole universe, and with that to conquer all his rival planets like New Genesis, which is ruled by the Highfather.
A destructive war between the two worlds was stopped only with a diplomatic exchange of the sons of Highfather and Darkseid. Darkseid's second born son Orion from his wife Tigra is surrendered to Highfather, while Darkseid receives Scott Free, who later becomes the master escape artist Mister Miracle. This turns out to be a setback for Darkseid with his biological son growing up to value and defend the ideals of New Genesis in opposition to his father. Darkseid's first born son is Kalibak the Cruel, and his third born son is Grayven.
Part of this story was familiarly told in The Twilight of the Gods Episode of The Justice League, where he made a deal with Brainiac, Darkseid pretended to seek help from the Justice League, only to tell Superman that his planet was doomed to be taken over by Brainiac's latest invention. Battles continue between Darkseid and Superman in the Justice League, But No Spoilers here for you guys, you have got to watch this.
Darkseid also possesses Superhuman strength that matches Superman, the knowledge to manipulate Energy, Matter transmutation, The Omega Effect that which a form of energy that fires from his eyes, Psionic Powers, Regenerative healing factor as well as Dimensional and Time travel abilities and lastly his existence is Immortality.
In the Comic storylines, Darkseid travel throughout time and dimensions to Earth and plans to attack Earth by kidnapping Supergirl, By using the Black Kryptonite to brainwash Supergirl, to only provide him and his army a leader for his Female Furies as well as to have a powerful strength being that could only match Superman. Batman working alongside Superman, manages to save Supergirl. This only leads to Darkseid having revenge on Supergirl as his plans had fail when Supergirl had teleported out as the last minute.
With rage, Superman steps in and decided to take on Darkseid, for which they attempted to destroy each other in the battle, but lastly, Superman remains victorious as Superman defeats Darkseid unconsciously enough to throw him into the Source Wall, where Superman declares that,
"For years and years, you've tried to learn the secrets of ultimate power from the other side. But you will never get the answers - just like the others who are entombed here. This is where you belong. Along with all the other failures in the universe."
But Darkseid could not escape his greatest destiny of all as he has been foretold that Darkseid would meet his final defeat at the hand of his very own Son, ORION.

Anyone see Jubilation Lee?
The Marvel Comics world is big. Bigger than most of us can imagine. Characters appear here and there all the time, and frequently manage to switch between different superhero teams in almost the blink of an eye. There are characters that even seem to go mostly un-noticed by the more general fans of superhero worship. Jubilation Lee is one of them.
If you don't recognize her name, perhaps you'd recognize her if I referred to her by her codename: Jubilee.
Jubilee is not an old character; in fact, she was only created in 1989. Ironically enough, up until the early 90's, Jubilee was also considered the youngest member of the X-men team.
Jubilee has the gift of emitting pyrotechnic plasma projectiles, concussive blasts and (in some instances) the ability to avoid telepathic detection. It’s been mentioned by Emma Frost that Jubilee might have even been able to use her powers at an almost atomic / nuclear level – but this idea was never developed.
Jubilee is a Chinese American, born on the wealthy streets of Beverly Hills. Her parents were stinking rich. But after their tragic murder, Jubilee was placed in an orphanage. She began her fall from grace after she escaped and lived a life of stealing for survival in a Hollywood shopping mall. It was while living in this shopping mall that she discovered her pyrotechnic abilities, whilst being chased by security guards.
Jubilee’s life took a turn for the exciting after she was rescued by the X-Men. She was so curious about the group of mutants that she tracked them through a portal and found herself in the X-Men’s Australian outback base. Stuck in the base, she stole food and clothes from various X-Men, and fashion her first personal uniform.
Everything was going as usual until she’d found the X-Men had abandoned the base to a nasty group, known as the Reavers.
Jubilee discovered that the Reavers had captured a mutant known as Wolverine. She found Wolverine strapped to a torture device and decided to aid in his escape, and after their hasty retreat, the X-Men introduced Jubilee to the great Professor Xavier, who, of course, welcomed the young girl into the mansion.
It was many missions later that Jubilee got stressed with life in mansion and decided to take a break by volunteering for the Generation-X team, headed by Banshee and Emma Frost. Jubilee, in the Generation-X team, proved to be one of their strongest members, winning mission after mission almost single-handedly.
When Generation-X disbanded, Jubilee moved to L.A. to pursue an unsuccessful acting career, and once again joined another band of superheroes, the X-Corp. She was also an outstanding member of the X-Corp, and after this brief stint, returned to the mansion to continue work with the team. It was finally decided by Cyclops, as leader of the X-Men, that Jubilee take a mental break from all the missions for a while.
Sadly enough, Jubilee left the mansion one more time, only to have her powers taken away from her by the Scarlet Witch. And to this day, her character has remained powerless and continues to live life as a normal civilian – or so say the comic company editors.
Throughout much of her comic life, Jubilee has been closely linked as a mini-sidekick to the ever-grumpy Wolverine. Their relationship is one of almost father-to-daughter, and it is a theme has been well maintained throughout past comic issues and features.
Although first penned and colored by the very cool Marc Silvestri, the best known representation of Jubilee in the past (and the one that I remember the best) had been in the 1992 X-Men animated television series where she was a frequently recurring character, appearing in almost every episode.
However, the character of Jubilee, whilst popular enough to appear in all three of the X-Men movies, only made small cameo performances with practically no lines at all.
Joe Quesada, editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, has stated that Jubilee will be re-appearing in comics in the near, un-told future, but she will also remain powerless for as long as until writers can find something to do with her.
When creators were asked why Jubilee appeared in the X-Men Legends game but not in the sequel, they said, ‘It’s not that we don’t like her, it’s just that we don’t need her’.
Yes, the Marvel Comic world is big. Perhaps, too big for characters as small as little Jubilation Lee.

Fly Away
The Princess & The Dark Knight sitting in a tree
Who could have thought ?
The Batman and the Wonder Woman actually becoming an item. It's a theme that has been played around in the Justice League cartoons from time to time - one scandalous scene involves the unmasked Bruce Wayne enjoying an evening of romantic dancing with a certain Wonder Women out of uniform, just having a quiet night out of League work.
Certain fans have taken a real liking to it. In fact, some have admired the idea of the Dark Knight and Princess Diana as an item so much that they've taken their admiration onto the net.
Check out this story I found posted on 'The Wonder Woman/Batman Fanfiction
Archives' titled 'With Arms wide Open':
"Batman was suddenly lost in Wonder Woman’s deep blue eyes, till he noticed what she was doing. She was slowly sliding the cowl back off his face. “No.” he whispered placing his hands on hers, but was shushed by Wonder Woman pressing her lips to his.
Next morning…
Wonder Woman slowly fluttered her eyes open at the sound of voices. She quickly set up and a moment later realized she was completely nude. Then the memories flooded her mind over taking her morning amnesia. “Oh Hera…” Wonder Woman gasped as she saw the vault door slightly open and she quickly clenched her makeshift blanket to her bare chest. She then looked down to see her blanket was infact Batman’s cape. “Oh Hera… it wasn’t another dream…
Oh Hera…"
Batman, you sneaky bugger.
Our Kingdom Comes
'Kingdom Come' was originally published as a 4 part comic in 1996. And didn't find its way onto a thick graphic novel trade-paper back until 1997. It's great for so many reasons. And just two of those reasons would be the fact that its project-headed by two of the most widely well-known comic engineers in the business; Mark Waid and Alex Ross (if you don't know them by now, then you should).
Mark Waid can be credited as one of the greatest comic writers ever, under the DC label - from compilations such as The Flash to JLA: Year One. Alex Ross, in my opinion and the opinion of many fans, is the world's greatest comic artist. Ross draws his superheroes unlike any other artist under the DC label, with his strong focus on photo-realism and portraiting to make our
superheroes appear more physically human than 'cartoon-y'.
Before I go into too much plot for the actual comic, everyone should be informed that 'Kingdom Come' is an 'Elseworlds' production.
This is the definition of an 'Elseworlds' DC comic: 'In Elseworlds, heroes are taken from their usual settings and put into strange times and places - some that have existed or might have existed, and others that can't, couldn't or shouldn't exist'.
So, don't assume that what happens in 'Elseworlds' has a lasting effect throughout the rest of the comic universe. It's a singular story that can be read like a movie without a prequel or a past. The only long-running themes in 'Elseworlds' comics are the heroes themselves. And 'Kingdom Come' has many.
The plot of this very worthwhile novel centers around the Justice League of America, now in their twilight years and basically working as individuals around the globe, dealing with the problem of Meta-humans. These meta-humans span from the ones without any affiliation to the really bad. They are mostly the sons and daughters of other past meta-humans, but have been
allows to run wild without supervision.
The story is told from the narration of an old priest who has lost his faith and is visited one day by a strange and ghostly being. Through the eyes of this priest, the reader is guided in 'Kingdom Come'. The climax of 'Kingdom Come' is a devastating battle between members of the old school Justice League and the rebel meta-humans - but I won't spoil the ending for you.
Part of the fun of reading this novel is spotting your old-time favourite heroes and villians, but with an Alex Ross take. See The Green Lantern as never before. See The Flash as never before.
I would hate to give out too much about this very great trade-paper back, but believe me that it is a must have for anyone who's into comics. 'Kingdom Come' is on every comic reader's top-ten list - just check out Amazon.com's Listmania.
And the coolest thing about 'Kingdom Come' is that it spawned the 'Kingdom Come' based action figure line. One of most meticulously prepared and most desired lines out in market right now. Series One came out about two and a half years ago, and you probably missed out on it. Don't worry, cos so did I. But, thanks to those big men at the top of those action figure corporations, Series One of the 'Kingdom Come' action figure line is being re-released.
This time, I'm not hesitating.

SHAZAM!!!!
The comic book series focuses on Billy Batson, a teenager who becomes the superhero known as Captain Marvel when he utters the magic word "Shazam!" The name is an acronym for six gods and heroes of the ancient world as well as their attributes: the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Aries, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury.
August has worked on such films as Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Big Fish.
"It's a unique opportunity to do a comic book movie where the character in it actually read comic books," said August, who has started writing the script. "What's terrific about the character is that he looks like this superstudly superhero but is really a 13-year-old boy. And to approach everything that is great about a superhero movie from a 13-year-old boy's perspective was a unique way in."
August sat down with noted DC Comics writer Geoff Johns for "idiot checking," making sure the filmmakers' approach to the character was consistent with what fans love about him. "I think we're going to be able to be really faithful to the mythology and yet make it completely transparent for people who have no idea who the character is," August said.
Chris Godsick and Michael Uslan (Constantine) are executive producing.
Ron Perlman on WATCHMEN
During an Interview with Ron Perlman regarding Hellboy: Blood and Iron, he mentioned some interesting things:
Besides Hellboy what has been necessary for your work in terms of reading comics?
Ron Perlman: Well, Frank Darabont is a really close friend of Guillermo's and they share a boyish passion for comic books. The first time I ever met Frank was in a comic book store here on Melrose in Los Angeles. In aisle three we had a long, wonderful meeting and he told me I had to read League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and everything that Alan Moore wrote. Then Watchmen came up because [Hellboy producers] Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin have the rights to make the film version of that. They were pushing for me to play the Comedian.
Maggie Gyllenhaal Joins The Dark Knight
Ever heard of Maggie Gyllenhaal??
Well luckly for her fans, Maggie Gyllenhaal is confirmed to take on the role of Rachel Dawes, previously played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins. Katie Holmes decided to drop out from the project earlier this year.
Following the huge cast includes actors like Heath Ledger, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Aaron Eckhart.
Director Chris Nolan is set to start filming in the late spring or early summer. Warner Bros. Pictures is eyeing a July 18, 2008 release.
