Stan To Have His Own Action Figure

Written by GL

Hasbro will pay plastic tribute to Stan Lee, the 84-year-old creator of Spider-Man, Hulk, X-Men, Fantastic Four and other comic-book heroes by portraying him as a 6-inch tall Marvel Legends action figure.

The toy looks like Lee and even wears khaki pants, a blue windbreaker and eyeglasses.

'We feel it's long overdue that Stan Lee be immortalized as an action figure, much like the dozens of marvelous characters that he has created for years and years,' said Eric Nyman, Hasbro's vice president of marketing. 'And it couldn't be more fitting than to create him as a 'Marvel Legends' figure.'

The limited-edition, $14.99 (or just over B$20) toy will be introduced next month in San Diego at Comic-Con International (it's made exclusively for this show - it's a same none of us can afford to go).

So if you've ever woken up in the middle of the night wishing for a Stan Lee action figure, now is your chance. Later, true believers.
